Up Close & Personal
I live for the thrill of expressing myself in simplicity.
They say I am nosy, pushy, and I stare a lot
but am just a curious girl who loves mystery.
Most of my heroes are dead but Andy black is my man
Kim Kardashian is why social media’s traded class for trash!
I have the temper of a tempest, tongue of a shrew.
I blame it on depression rendering me a noble gas.
It pains me to watch wannabe’s walk in lies for shoes
cause for me lies are cowardice cries, ain’t no coward!
If you ask me, mirrors go like this shit is real,
am serious business, know what I mean?
As a Gloria Gaynor First be a woman fan
I find real women who are expensive affable
and real men who talk the talk and walk the walk admirable
My father was an admirable man, my mother an affable woman!
I had the best childhood a child could have, wish I still am a child!
If I had one wish it’d be the ability to read people’s minds
and not be so transparent so people don’t take my good
demeanor as a naivety that makes them think am game!
Having been to hell and back through loss, betrayal, and death;
staying alive and sane says a lot about what am capable of.
If I could be reborn I’d love to be Simon Cowell & live in Andalusia.
My dad’s last handwritten note is my greatest treasure
It marks the last time I saw him, losing him killed me.
I live to cook, travel, and write, if I can I wanna be Ibn Batouta
travel around writing accounts of my experiences.
Many people perceive me as strict and a go getter
but all I want is honest real people for friends.
Gibran and Almutannabi are my poetic muses
but am Joha at heart when it comes to adventure.
Ibn Rushd is my all time idol thinker and artist.
Friends call me Lili but family and besties call me Mercury.
I can’t take people who are hard to please or liars.
My greatest regret was giving my heart to a psychopath.
If given a choice, I’d like to die fighting for my country
for to believe is to perceive how to achieve!
