Beauty in Decay
Light a sharpie so bright
shines on beauty
seen through decay.
Both beauty and decay
form a duality of
darkness and luminosity.
Beauty is a love that can provide
for its reality against dismay.
Just as tradition is a security
deposit for a mind’s decay.
Darkness is a light
meant to blight
a mind with a fright
from a jawline lost in a fight.
Under a hoodie covering a body
lies a heart fighting for beauty
extending its fingers gracefully.
Yet the eyes only see a dead body
not the mentality exuding spirituality.
Death encircles vitality
only to accentuate mortality.
Just as darkness blights luminosity
only to revamp visibility and morality.
Yet only beauty brought by decay
can wake one up to reality.
Everything in life is like a chain of dualities that complete a circle. If not for death we won't appreciate life and if not for darkness we won't understand what light is and if not for decay we would've never seen beauty in vitality. Hence, beauty rises from decaying and decay gives birth to appreciation of beauty.
