Baal of Ialu
Passion is poetry’s Baal lighting skies
with thunders belting reed fields
for beauty to come forth from lines
forming an Ialu of contrasting quills!
Quills break down problems, sending peoples
to corners hiding from blues in grayish arcs
scattered in patterns, sparkles, monsters,
flowers, hurts, deaths, and waves
that deviate souls spinning in circles.
From a distance all you see is hands
visible from one side under suns
of circumstance commanding days
or nights bringing light or shadows.
We are all connected, lost souls
seeking absolution, bearing our hearts
amidst cries for help lost in tries.
Quills join souls in art like threads
threading hearts joining intermittent arcs
to form a circle from concentric circles
centered around passion, that’s what makes poets!
Passion is a thunder that strikes a poet to belt lines that rain themes and feelings to build fields for hearts to walk through. Baal is the king of gods always portrayed as a thunder god whipping his hammer to reorganize and command reed fields aka Ialu fields equivalent and origin of Elysian fields of beauty and hope in life’s contrasting mishaps… What man divides under the skies of need, greed, and control, a poet’s quill joins in the fields of passion to intertwine with harmony and balance via relatability like trees’ roots overlapping in brotherly love for co-existence and sharing the earth’s bounty.
