Lose the Shades
Like clouds scurrying from the sun-
they dawn love to come forth.
In them lies a world meant to be free-
from all inhibitions for a feat!
They are the tambour-
that drives away all that is goth.
Their waves bash me like a sea-
of emotions striking with sincerity.
They glisten in the sun-
like fire in a hearth.
Shades hide them clearly
keeping my heart from its treat.
Though small and obscure-
they can muster a mighty wrath.
In them I find myself on a ferry-
to where anger is just another pleat.
Love is a cagey world linden-
with trust and glee: a cloth-
that wraps my soul around thee.
Come iron my heart my sweet.
Lose the shades I adjure.
Your eyes are the froth-
of desire in a cup of coffee.
So come wake me up my reality.
