About the 5 Lamps
The 5 lamps is a very popular landmark in Thornaby and has been moved several times and relocated.
They were used for meetings such as prospective council and parliamentary elections.
Also The lamps were a great meeting area to see in the new year. Hundreds of people would gather around the lamps and rejoice when the Town hall clock struck midnight.
This Scene was originally from a black and white photo. I converted the whole picture to colour using my own eyes no computers involved.
