A flight of stairs.
The Montagne de Bueren is built on the place where 600 soldiers (Franchimonts) supposedly were killed. Here's a funny detail: it was built in the 19th century for the soldiers of the Citadel to have an easier access to the city. After completion of the stairs it was forbidden for the soldiers to take the common route along the rue Pierreuse with its many bars and brothels.
