I was always a skinny kid. I didn't hit puberty until very very very late. it was difficult to watch all my friends become men while I was still a boy. Girls were friends with me, I always had friends but it was very apparent that I was falling behind as everyone else grew up. I felt like an outsider.
It changed me and made me who I am.
I own a gym in the neighborhood, I got into fitness and exercise which I'm sure was spurred initially from feelings of insecurity and inadequacy. I'm sure a lot of my ambition and drive that I have come from that.
There is this famous saying, if you want to be something you have to go through something. Great people don't stand up on stage and say my life was really easy and here I am.
It is the idea that you struggle to succeed. You can’t have one without the other.
I didn't have any stuffed animals when I was little. I didn't have a real great childhood.
