I’m usually extremely quite unless I’m working on something. I'm basically an introvert and that has inspired me to focus on my artwork so if I ever try to apply for a job I can get it. I can apply with confidence knowing that my portfolio will be acceptable for them. But at the same time if I’m not being social with everybody else then I feel there is nothing else going on for me.
I took the advice of a friend who told me to try to work different jobs to earn different kinds of income. For me it was like, I really want to be an animator. But my most recent job I've had was at Six Flags in the food industry. My biggest revelation when I was talking to one of my managers and I told her I always wanted to be an animator and I want to make enough money to get a car so that I can start applying for jobs in the studio. But she basically told me I don't have a goal or dream like you do. I don't have anything planned after I have this job. She started to tell me this story how one bad soccer game made her want to give up her dream of being a soccer player. After that she decided to work in the restaurant industry and she doesn’t have any other aspiring goals in life.
I use to have a bunch of Disney plushies when I was a kid but I gave them all away. In a way they inspired me to go into animation and to draw. In some strange aspect they inspired me to find some real friends.
