I'm non-binary gender wise so that usually gets a bunch of side glances. "What does that mean"? And all that. I'm not out to my coworkers or anything like that. Just going to regular social events and stuff and not actually telling people, it can really be isolating sometimes. I ended up dropping out of high school from social anxiety, stuff like that, but now I have this guy, my dog Rowan. He's been a big help.
When I finally found a few other people like me I realized I can just do whatever I want and not really need to focus on what other people are thinking. On some level everybody is kind of scared of what other people think. If my existence weirds other people out that's on them more than it's on me.
As a kid I begged my parents for a stuffed animal at every turn. I still have a lot of them. I think about a half I ended up donating to sick kids. Puffalump is a yellow cat, I think, that I got from my cousin when I was probably like three or four. He's this yellow, kind of this weird material. I've had him for ever. And he still is in my room. And his stuffing is all squished so he's extra flat now. I used to have to have him every night to go to sleep. I don't anymore, thankfully. He was kind of a security item thing.
