When you're a cosplayer you're kind of seen differently. People will, sort of like, mock you by saying, “oh, is it Halloween”? "What are you wearing, that's not normal". There was this one time I was in cosplay as a character from anime and there were these grown men, kind of just teasing me about it, saying, " oh what are you from, like Power Puff Girls”? It is kind of embarrassing and brings down your self-esteem when you're trying to just do something out of the norm. And I think that people should just be able to do that and be happy and not get made fun of for being different. And this has caused me to keep doing what I do because people shouldn't bring down others and they shouldn't change just to please someone that isn't in their life.
I have a little lion his name is Simba from Lion King. I got him a long time ago when I was going through some hardships. I got him from my mom and he's just really important to me. He's a memory of how I used to be and how I want to continue to be that way. He makes me feel really happy.
