There were four of us in my school, we were all freshmen and we were the only ones with long hair. We had a band. Everybody else had short hair and wore khakis, three button shirts with collars and short sleeves. We would just go out and everyone would just want to fight us. They would call us names and we would get into fights. They just didn't understand us and I realized as I got older they wanted us to conform.
It strengthen my resolve, other people might have just conformed. They are all still there doing the same exact thing, just 20 pounds heavier and 30 years older. I'm out here living my dreams with my beautiful son and my wife. Yeah, things are good.
I used to have a Curious George but I gave it to my son. He was just a buddy. He would just sit on the bed and then when I went to sleep he would be the. I was actually on tour and a guy came into my room from one of the other bands and said, “can I borrow that, my wife isn't on the road, I just need something to hold onto?” And he was a pretty tough rock 'n' roll guy so I thought that was pretty funny.
