What really matters is what's going on inside and how you can find love within yourself. How much you can love those things you once hated about yourself. And to continue to work towards finding that love within that is underneath the surface of whatever pain is on top of it. For me it's my ears. I have really big ears. They stick out of my head. I never wear my hair up. I can't wear a lot of hairstyles. And that is one thing I always wanted to do is to have certain hairstyles that I can never do.
It definitely has shaped me physically in how I do my hair and the way I present myself. It also taught me to be stronger in accepting who I am and what God has given me and to show other girls like me who have imperfections, that they see as imperfection, to love it and own it and be with it and cherish it and appreciate it as much as they can.
I have my niece's little pink unicorn at home. It reminds me of her and being a child and being magical. And being loving, staying soft and warm.
