Writing About Writing Is Easier Than Writing
Yeah, gave up on NaNoWriMo this year. I'm happy with what I got written before I ran out of ideas, and am more likely to come back to it later if I don't add a load of idea-less filler to it just to make up the numbers.
So I may have another thing I want to do. A while ago I did some blog posts where I was trying to apply ideas from game design (specifically The Art of Game Design book by Jesse Schell) to writing. I stalled part way through, and to be honest, I knew a lot less about writing then than I do now, and even now I don't know that much.
But I got myself a shiny new copy of the second edition of Schell's book, and I might be ready to have another go, keeping each post short and sweet. Who knows if there's any point in that or if even then I'll stick at it, but we'll see.
In the meantime, I guess maybe check out some of the things I have managed to finish writing, some of which are probably at lease quite good. http://spiderted.eu/authors/petealexharris.html
