It was about 2:30 AM as I walked out to check on the status of my timelapse I had set up earlier in the night under Double Arch in Arches National Park. Upon arrrival I found my camera switched off and the timelapse had only taken 40 out of the 1500 photos. I decided to instead take some stills of myself out here. Standing under the arches alone in the middle of a moonless night was a very powerful expirence. The quietness and vastness of the arches are very humbling. I wanted to stand there all night long looking up at the stars and the arches. I hope you folks enjoy this photo as it is personally my favorite photo I've ever taken.
