Hi Joe and welcome. You might find Ello a little slow growing but don't bother too much about that for now. This is NOT Facebook. Click on the 'say hello' square to type a message. Also check your settings button to the right of the black smiley face to the top left (third along) and make sure everything's as you wish. You'll find as you add friends that it's easier to chat than setting up an email but the downside is you can't currently send private messages so if it's something private you can still use email. As I said it's like being in the pub with a few pals and afterwards you want to continue the chat with them, using Ello gets your message to them all very easily. Cheers. Phil
