Beyond the nice symmetry of this image – which always attracts me to take the shot – I found something deeper in the encounter between these two pairs.
The first couple who are walking from left to right, are pushing the cart which is the mean of making their livelihood. They are tied to its’ weight.
The two other persons are riding on a motorbike and crossing them from right to left. They have no apparent weight. They are moving faster.
What does it mean? Why should some of us carry an apparent burden throughout life, while others do not…?
Is it just luck? Is there any logic behind these appearances?
This blog isn’t the format to discuss and investigate in depths concepts like Karma or Reincarnation. Only this photograph reminds me, that according to many & very different Philosophers and Artists, e.g. Confucius and Cartier-Bresson- “luck” is a name we give circumstances when we’re not aware of the law behind them.
The appearances are always the visible layer of a logical law, and when this law is so subtle that we are unable to grasp it- we call its cause- “luck”.
Are you a lucky person? If you are, you might be following “The Law of Nature” without even knowing it…
