Book post: Last week, I read Ready Player One (Ernest Cline) in a day, which reminded me that I really like that genre of dystopian near-future realistic futuretech sci-fi. My preferred "style" of scifi is still best summed up in a single book recommendation: Rainbow's End by Vernor Vinge. I mentioned this to Tim, my friend/grandboss and he brought me a bag full of paperbacks. I'm now reading Singularity Sky on paper and Halting State on a glowing screen (both are Charles Stross). I have a bunch left in the bag when those are done. Nice to be reading again.
3d Printer is happily humming along behind me. It's behaving much better since the hotend upgrade. Reading about future nano cornucopia machines while printing Halloween skull decorations (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:479949) in 3d? Future, I <3 You.
