Okay. Here's one... In 2013 (around spring), I was a part of the Reel Youth (A community for indie short films for teens and young adults). As a seperate group, we interview with elder people about their share of past and present. Me and my high school friend were brainstorming about what question we should ask, but careful (due to the fact that they're sensitive). I wasn't strong enough to interview a senior so he was gonna do it while I was holding the "boom-mic". After finishing our questions and finished filming, we began to edited on Final Cut (which I'm sort-of learning at that point). We were doing our part turns on editing. After that, we finished the project and they were impressed of our film (which we did ourselves, but others will edit a bit more for us). We finished our jobs and headed home.
A few months later, I received an e-mail from the manager of the group about our film. They love it and we had been nominated for VIFF (Vancouver International Film Festival [for me, it was a shocking exciting news]). Around early October, we took a flying trip to Vancouver (for the first time), and we looked around the city and it was worth it (until the rain began... for 5 days due to it storm in the pacific). We had two schedule to go to Cinematique, watch other short films (and ours in it), and starting with Q&A (which I'm bad at answering those questions). After that, we head back to the hotel. Unfortunately, my friend had to go back early due to his college, but me and my mom stay a little while for us what to do in our free time (fortunately, we had a good time and wish we come back again soon).
There. That was my story.
