We've been at our new office location for about a month now and I've settled in to my favorite route to work. I could get here faster if I took the interstate, but I prefer to spend a few extra minutes and take the calmer/prettier drive, which also involves going through a lot of school zones. There's something about seeing the kids waiting for their buses that I enjoy - it's like I'm sharing my morning routine with the rest of the community. And there's an old lady crossing guard who smiles and waves at people as they drive by. Also I've developed a fondness for this one fluppy-haired geeky looking kid that I always see standing by himself at his bus stop. I would've had such a crush on that kid when I was his age.
