An abandoned Detroit Cathedral. I almost don't even want to call this a church or a cathedral, it is really just a shell of a building. The scrappers have now resorted to removing rebar from the pillars.

More from my visits to Detroit here http://www.freaktography.ca/abandoned-detroit.html

I'm generally fascinated by objects and buildings that are abandoned and left behind. What are the circumstances that make it easier to walk away than to sell or re-purpose it? There's a great episode of Vice News about this that focuses on Detroit.

How happy I was then to discover @freaktography. His photos are beautiful, haunting, and inspire any number of feelings. Not only can I stare at this work for hours, I'm deeply jealous of all his amazing travels and creative experiences. Be sure to check out the main site as well: http://www.freaktography.ca/

"Yes, Front Desk? Can you send up more glasses, please?"

Since my youth I've compiling a long list of reasons to visit the UK, a region I'm not unsure I should have been born. Now I've got yet another (as well as having all my lodging sorted out). I can't imagine a hotel with amenities as glorious as this (and I live in Vegas for crying out loud)! Check it out: http://bit.ly/1JgCrew

I recently posted this review of the three main Chimay Trappist Beers that are available. This was from a three pack I bought a while ago and cellared, so each beer is two years old and quite balanced. @ellobrew Please check it out here -> http://westcoastbeergeek.com/2015/04/15/craft-beer-review-a-trio-of-chimay-red-yellow-and-blue/

        new paper collage works.

Looking at the work of @mariozoots gives you a real appreciation for exactly how masterful collage composition can be. His deceptively simple use of color and negative space is nothing short of an education in this medium. (And he's in my former home state of CO...represent!)

As a long time resident of Las Vegas, the familiarity of the landscape can make even the most impressive sights fade into the desert, so it was refreshing and exciting to stumble across the work of @wadebrooks and see my city through new eyes. Far from a snapshot in front of [insert attraction], he really captures a humanity that can disappear in the throngs of tourists. His other work is equally stellar, check him out!
