“A playful visual identity and for a supremely sophisticated image-maker.”
Hattie Newman has produced work for some of the world’s biggest institutions and brands. Hattie approached Polytechnic to create a visual identity system, new website and supporting printed materials.
We wanted to incorporate the essence of Hattie’s daily practice into the visual identity. It was noted that tiny colourful offcuts adorn almost every surface of Hattie’s studio and on a visit we harvested some.
After some experimentation, a proposal which centered on the abstraction of these forms was pitched. Together with some elegant and confident typography, the visual identity was born.
