I still haven't got a feel for ello. What are we doing here? Do I need hundreds of followees to make me feel like I have something here? What's the critical mass to a sustainable and mutually interesting conversation.
I have the exact same issue in other upstart places. I've always rather followed people from place to place, joining everything my friends, acquaintances, correspondents, and other interesting people care to send out on.
Is this is cost of a completely free market in social networking? Imagine how we'd deal with things if our phones still didn't talk to each other, or across the state, the country, world? To make that work required governments' regulation and cooperation. Would anyone stand for that nowadays?
Anyway, random thoughts...
