Born and brought up in a country grocery and meat store in way upstate NY, dad taught me how to cut, cure and smoke meats, cheeses, turkeys, chickens, pastrami, beef and pork bacons, etc. I worked for a chain store as meat cutter, manager, and district supervisor, then after hurting my back, I went on to RadioShack as associate, manager and senior manager. Because of stress, I have had 6 strokes and retired on full disability at 61, now 67.
