I'm currently in the middle of my first attempt at NaNoWriMo which I'm finding it to be more difficult that I expected. I'll admit that I blame myself, procrastinating on Archive.org's Internet Arcade and watching Desert Bus for Hope while puttering on at 500 words a day. Even when I started out strong at over 4k.
I also forgot about how word counts have always been anxiety inducing outside of news-writing. Or at least when it comes getting into a character's shoes, wanting to know where the scene ends. Long story short, I should've been more thorough in the outlines but I'm satisfied trotting along for now.
