A year and a bit ago we got an "old" DSLR for $100, then an "old crappy" prime lens for $30. But this was seriously a lot of camera for $130! Having a camera which can shoot in raw, where you have proper control over it, and with a high quality sensor means you can take great pictures!
Photography is rather fun, especially if you like colors. With the raw format, you can adjust the colour curves and white balance to get a really fantastic effect. I took this picture of a butterfly at the zoo last summer, I really like it!
