"Blodgett Canyon, Montana"
Vivid blacks, whites, and greys offer a metaphorical glance at the daunting yet mysterious stretch of Montana wilderness that goes on and on.
"Santa Cruz, California #1"
California: a destination for travelers of all different walks of life. The coast is where they all collide, yet hardly speak as they stare out into the vast distance of sea with thoughtful eyes. This is where the waves crash, booming under their feet to welcome them.
"Santa Cruz, California #2"
Seen by many, however touched by few in comparison. The sea is a mystery; the way it pulls and stretches from continent to continent; energy constantly circulating from coast to coast. The ultimate work of art.
"Santa Monica, California #1"
Thousands of people rush to the beach on Labor Day of 2017. Coming from all over the vast city of Los Angeles, the fruits of their labor are rewarded with a day off that they use to soak up the hot Southern California sun. All races, all sexualities, all social classes, all people. All come together to share this one day, one beach. Standing side by side, or swimming side by side! Hail the amazing power the ocean has to bring this incredible group of people together.
"Santa Monica, California #2"
I chose to make this picture black and white to highlight the fact that we are all just one race and that race is the human race. From a distance, through the art of photography, this photo captures the essence of my argument. You can't see the color of their skin, or the features that make them "different." You just see them for who they truly are: human. And every human being deserves to be treated like a human being, no matter what their race or ethnic background may be.
