While working on some new signage assets for Pica's Louisville, I wanted a version of the existing logo :point_up: which would be easier to apply as vinyl (through reduction of detail).


Before creating a new clean version, I altered the mid-section of the 'S,' which always struck me as feeling a little "saggy." I created a duplicate of the rough version with the new 'S,' then re-drew everything :point_down: using shapes and the pen tool in Illustrator. I love little projects like this because the challenge is to improve on the details of something without removing a single degree of equity which has been built up over time.
