If you want to run on snow/ice, and haven't tried this method yet, you should! It's very effective without requiring the bulk and weight of Yak-Traks and Micro Spikes. It's also very cheeeep 😁
I just added some additional screws to keep me going through the rest of winter here in Colorado. The original hardware from December is almost completely flat by now.
I used #8 sheet metal screws at 3/8ths length, and no, the screws don't poke through to your foot on normal running shoes.
