I'm curious what you all think about the absence of a "like" feature?
I had a bit of a rant with my friend last night over the pro's and cons of "like/fav" over various websites. On one hand it can often be used as a bookmark, a means to archive something you may want to view later. On the other (and the only use for it on facebook) it's the fastest means of showing appreciation. But I think it limits the amount of time a person puts into absorbing what they see. By only giving the option to reply with comment, it forces the observer to think.
To summarize, as we browse through content at a rapid pace, we aren't given enough time to care & think about it... if you can simply click "like" and move on.
It changes how our brains work.
what do you think?
