The idea of patriarchy is something I find didactic and of insignificance in reality. Ideology is something that has the ability to mould people's thoughts and actions, and I if there is anything the idea of patriarchy stands for me, it is this kind of top down approach. Head/though/language into the world. As a human female, I stand in my body without feeling the need to control another human's desires or how they see me. I stand in feeling and sensing. These images depict ways in which materials, ideas, and stories are exported around the world through shipping, through museums, and through photography on the internet and social media. Because here we are sharing our work, guts, and ideas in a detached way, I create images that critically use the everyday objects we can encounter to show this kind of ideological folly in thinking in terms of patriarchy.
