Rachel Wolfe is an award-winning artist from Chicago living in Norway, working internationally with image, installation, and performance. Movement and water focus her artistic research on the relationship between Vision and Body.
The gif titled, Isen, depicts inverted film negatives advancing and receding in an endless loop symbolising the currents ebb and flow.
The film exposures are manipulated to extract the illustrative line quality of the water and depict water surfaces as if a bottom of a well. Where surface and screen technology relates to how far, deeply, or clearly we can see.
