If you ever want to know what the world truly looks like, work a job in retail. In less than an hour you will see stupidity, blind ignorance, compassion, kindness, bigotry, racism, understanding, empathy, and utter confusion - there is no us or them. There is an us and them, and sometimes, sometimes we get to meet in the middle.
Do all things with kindness. (Yes, even for the assholes.)
