January 26th was the 29th anniversary of the Broadway production of
Phantom of the Opera. To think, I was actually at one of those
performances in their first year. Perhaps you were too. There are
few entertainments with such admirable longevity.
The 26th was also the opening night of a play published in 1933 but
never before performed. The Mint gave it its WORLD PREMIERE.
