I was cruising through the art and other sections of Ello looking for new people to follow and stumbled on something that puzzles me. I don't have many followers so this probably won't get traction. An individual was complaining about a book store that didn't have much art and it was lumped in with photography. That got me to wondering if artists think that photography is not art and vice versa. I see a lot of art and wonder why I don't see the "art" in it. A rumpled piece of cloth on a street next to a brick wall or what looks like a piece of trash in a white box doesn't move me. Some photos look like vacation shots too. I like a lot more photography than photos of art. Is it just me?
