Artist Statement:
There have been countless times when, as a young kid, waking up at the crack of dawn meant watching some good old cartoons or anime. Sitting down in front of the television watching hours on end and admiring the comedic quirkiness of the characters was the inception of this project. The Obscurity series is based on those priceless childhood experiences that most people have in their preschool to elementary school years. It is the part of us that has been lost, but will never go away. A collective of memories that resonate nostalgically with glimpses of the beginning of how we once were and how life was simpler than it is now.
