~ Poetry Concrète
@ Seven Stars Gallery, Berlin
Half concert, half poetry reading, half movement piece, 25/7 Stars likes to stretch limits. Melting ice, glowing with a different colour for each new sound, drips into a well seven meters deep, and the sound of each drop as it ripples on the surface is captured and amplified. Time goes by, and an absurd conversation starts between the musician and an audience member casually leaning on a pillar. A dancer, erratically clad, walks down the stairs and slowly makes his way to the other side. Through this quatuor of water, electronics, voice and movement, things are questioned at a friendly pace, until everything freezes. 25/7 Stars was presented at Seven Stars Gallery (Berlin) at the occasion of the book release of 25/7 in July 2018.
What do you get if you put a circle into a glass of water? A shadow? A sunken sun? a drowned firefly? No, no. A dreamcatcher? An 'oh', or 'ah' sound? a song? Well...it depends... Wouldn't it be nice if we could set the temperature of the rain? My mum took me to niagara falls once—the barrel industry isn't doing great. So, what's up with time anyway?
— It's out and about.
— Doing what?
— Just chilling I guess.
— I heard time should always be at room temperature.
