Working as an artist, I aim to create pieces that are visually stimulating with focus on detail and a little bit of nonsense sprinkled on. Before I begin a piece, I research the elements of the painting to achieve a solid base upon which to build, whether it be plants, animals, or insects. I begin with a rough sketch, denoting specific color regions, that will layer be translated into hand cut stencils. Working primarily with spraypaint, I pay special attention to the the color palette, making sure that my choices are the correct tone and tempurature. The result being bright and intricate pieces that are aesthetically pleasing. I try with every new painting to challenge myself with new techniques. My portfolio shows a vast assortment of subject matters and styles, ranging from art nouveau inspired paper cuts, photorealism, and bright neon surrealism.
