Stella saw me drawing in my notebook at a party. Stella wanted a turn drawing pictures, so I gave my notebook and my pen to Stella. Stella drew this picture (which I colored for her with my phone, but she didn’t really care about that…) Then Stella wanted to draw more pictures. Stella drew potatoes and Stella drew eggs. Stella drew on blank pages and Stella drew on NOT blank pages. When I asked Stella if I could have a turn, Stella became—aggressive. (Ha!) Never get between a two-year-old artist and her work! I did eventually get my notebook back, but let’s just say that Stella and I will be “collaborating” on several pieces of artwork over the next few weeks. Maybe I’ll get Stella and her brother, Marshall, some notebooks and (washable) markers. Keep that creative spirit alive! —Richard F.
