"All the works of man have their origin in creative fanstasy. What right have we then to depreciate imagination?"

I paint resilience but not always through the depiction of the figure. My oil paintings are realistic portrayals of the garbage, trash cans and drain pipes as a way to convey the idea that humans are often required to find something beautiful in a hard situation in order to keep going. The ability of a human being to do this is the essence of resilience.
Skrew Studio (@skrewstudio)
Skrew Studio is the alter ego of belgian visual artist Maarten De Naeyer. With a graphic background he is intrigued by the tension between shapes and textures. Rarely using color in his work - only when needed - he defines a raw and intense visual style by creating interesting compositions.

To communicate quickly and effectively at a glance, with a powerful image that captivates and holds attention long enough to deliver the message.
My work derives from life all around us, and those daily interactions are directly interpreted to whatever medium necessary to drive that message. Still or motion, I am here to turn up the volume.

I am an artist from Porto, Portugal, Graduated in the Superior School of Art of Porto.
My artistic preoccupations are varied and always surround themes such as the self-portraits , the materiality, the ephemerality of perception and its limits, the transgression of representation, the tyranny of the rectangle, music and visuals and finally the criticism of art and contemporary society.
Stefania Tejada (Colombia, 1990) explores and studies the female spirit, an immersion within the concept of identity and her personal evolution as a human where fashion and nature unite. She is in constant search of capturing her subjects when they feel most vulnerable or most powerful.
The face of her subjects acquire a special pre eminence; an exposed place. Her subjects connect returning the gaze, establishing a relationship and allowing the viewers to question themselves about the role of women in today’s society, allowing them to see the trace of the past and the present; to see what’s hidden behind those eyes.
