Month in review:
The last 3 weeks have been quite hard due to the passing of my Uncle. It started with a phone call from his college the 7th of February and we packed up immediately and headed to Nebraska - the place where I got to spend 3 years of my life with him while going to college. A man who lived “alone” with no “family” around really wasn’t alone, thanks to the community’s response about his passing was quite reassuring that he was so loved by many people. He had his students and his college as his family, and the community around him. Thank you so much @mpccedu for everything you’ve done for us, and for Mr. Grizzle.... This picture represents a few tries on Urns for my uncle. I am honored to be making this for him. Not many potters my age can say that they’ve made urns for their own family members, nonetheless it humbles me to be doing this for my Uncle. I would want him to expect no less than perfection from me because he’s done everything for me to get to this point in my career. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be doing pottery.
