funny fact of the day:
the 4th movement of Beethovens's Symphony no. 2 in D Major, op. 36 was, allegedly, "inspired" by his own inflamed and nasty bowel movements, most likely caused by a violent depression episode during the fall of 1802. according to musicologist Robert Greenberg, the composition is but a series of burps and hiccups, the occasional flatulence and a loud and explicit "south explosion" right at the end.
shall we listen to it one more time?
