Besides my day-to-day employment producing a monthly limited-run, vaguely interesting, highly specified niche trade association's magazine, I have been focusing a bulk of my time on extracting helpful bits of nostalgia, current events, and my imagination to develop free-boarding as a legitimate way to tell cohesive and complex stories in a visual medium.
Although my planning up to this point was similar in facets of organization and application, a newly desired rate of spontaneous expression has been acheived. So far, one-fourth of this new production (early title: "A Brighter Future") is planned, with the second half still taking formative shape within plot points delivered earlier. I plan to stress more character interactions, and I plan on making a few twists as I go along... there will be a revision period (which is to be expected), but the digital comps will take shape by summer if everything goes as planned. Inner-workings of the Rusty Vacuum universe are taking better shape, united by past compositions that should fall into place soon.
I am also producing a new showcase of work to display at an event in Tampa's Seminole Heights neighborhood, focusing on new paintings, drawings, and other media. I hope to include a short EP as well of the current music tracks I have been working at, especially considering my recently completed 11-12 pedal board, which is in eager need of reconstruction and efficiency checks. My current MIDI/Interface system with the computer has produced great effects, with the most accurate tones I have produced thus far in recording. A new take on "Summer" and "Soothe" were first on the list, but hopefully a few newer tracks will be closer to completion by that time.
Until next time...
