I'm tired of the "quantity" of my friends being more important than the "quality" of the friendships. My social life has changed, shifted, shape-shifted. It's normal to go through friendship influxes, droughts. I expected it because of the type of person that I am; tack on moving around from state to state over the past 5 years, that'll make it hard to make a stable group of friends.
But I've been in Boulder for 2 years now. And It seems like everyone I've met out here is looking for "new-ness." in a very different way than I am.
They seem to be interested in meeting more people rather than making new experiences with long-term friends. I'm looking for some friends to open up to, spend some time and be familiar with.
I seriously miss some of the people out on the East Coast and I can't wait to shoot the shit around a campfire when I visit in May. #friendshipgoals #denied
