"Humans love the aesthetically pleasing. Art has a supernatural power to remove us from the constant movements, deadlines, relationships, and struggles of daily life and move us into a feeling of tranquil and the sublime. It’s the strange yet captivating liquid that seems to flow effortlessly in the lava lamp as it changes color and shapes. The painting of a Dutch field in the spring; its’ ability to somehow transport, forget ourselves, and be in that moment.
I am in constant search to find this moment. I want my work to transport the viewer to the tranquil and sublime moments of life. I want to depict scenes and people in their most simplistic forms.
