I have Asperger's so there are many things in life or things about people that I have a hard time understanding. I've come a far way but one of the things that is so confusing is how people are put into groups and how some can have so much hate for others. While I still have a hard time interacting with people and can't always pick up on emotions or sarcasm, a persons gender, race, religion, or sexual orientation makes absolutely no difference to me, you all are, is some ways, alien to me. Today is Transgender Day of Remembrance, a day to remember all those lives cut way too short at the hands of ignorance and hate. Through remembering and sharing the stories of people who have died and suffered, we can all learn to love a little better and to speak up if someone around you is being harassed or abused in anyway. While my struggles aren't about hate, they are about how I view and interact with the world, and if I can grow and change surely there is hope for this world.
