After much pondering, an experimental itch was finally scratched yesterday, yielding this beauty, an impromptu trapezohedron ornament.

I used a scrap of shiny gold fabric, neon yellow thread and a couple of pieces of Pellon's Flex Foam, which I have to say completely reminds me of brie when you stare at it up close like that. I think I'm hungry.

It's a super fast project and a fun way to use up scraps and make something fun to keep or to give. It goes without saying that I plan to make many more.
