The Cigar Girl Saga is proving interesting, although perhaps for the wrong reasons.
I find it remarkable how little support has been shown by the photographers of Ello.
For those unaware, the Cigar Girl photograph was used by an Ello user in an attempt to bully another user(technically two users, but lets stick to the relevant stuff). Ello has been less than forthcoming in satisfactory replies, or indeed much in the way of a reply at all.
Are the photographers of Ello really so happy to see this kind of behaviour go on?...is it ok when it's happening to another photographer?...obviously there are also issues about the bully getting away with his behaviour, but i want to stick to the photography aspect here.
It would certainly make me think twice about posting one of my own photographs on Ello. Their lack of response to this problem is highly disturbing given they are so proud to say Ello is a perfect platform for all things creative.
There has surprisingly been no response from @ellophotography, and since i have not seen other photographers respond, i am somewhat loathe to tag any, but i think this is pretty important for anyone who considers themselves a photographer on Ello, so @davidseibold @fabianodu , if only because they are two of the photographers i respect the most here.
