I am intrigued by, and attempt to work towards, an exploration oft knowing how I will resolve a drawing or a painting.
Once a perfectionist bent on fixing so-called 'mistakes', or fiercely erasing or painting over those markings that I thought clumsy or crude.
I now wholeheartedly embrace those technical missteps, I sense that these very 'gropings for the form' hold true gestural gems: honest and vital
footsteps which should be preserved for a present composition, or data to be mined for future perceptual possibilities.
Prioritizing such unexpected twists and turns in a creative wilderness with the broadest range of possibilities is what keeps my ideas pliable and
my work alive.
