For my friends who wish to retain their vision, here’s a quick fix for Ello’s typographical issue:
1. Right Click (or Control Click on a Mac) on a problematic paragraph of text to get a contextual menu. 2. Choose “Inspect Element”. You will be presented with a screen layout similar to what is shown below. 3. In the bottom right, “Styles”, section of the inspector locate anything that has “.75rem” as a value and uncheck it. Do the same for the font-family that ends in “monospace”. This may take a little bit of digging around. Don’t let the code intimidate you. It’s just CSS. Bend it to your will.
And who knows, maybe Ello will change from an outdated monospace font to something doesn't prematurely tire users. That would be neighborly of them. Have I mentioned that I have strong opinions about these sorts of things? No? Huh.
