I am an anthropologist, linguist, teacher, and self-taught visual artist extremely determined to develop my photography skills in hopes of following a more visual-arts inspired career path. Light, color, line, people, and the poetic composition of ordinary objects inspire me most, and part of my work aims to capture the underlying beauty and unique character of the seemingly mundane in a way that encourages others to take a second glance. Above all, I rely on my training in ethnography to observe, read, and creatively document the complex world around me.
